ARECON Ltd., founded in 1998 by the staff of AREC is an independent research and consulting institute specialised in environmental issues, with an emphasis on economically competitive solutions.

50 years of AREC's expertise in designing and implementing collection and recycling systems enable ARECON to manage complex and transdisciplinary projects linking the interests and needs of industry, consumers and municipalities.

These experiences on closed loops of material and financial flow management from the base on which ARECON develops new approaches and contributions towards a sustainable future such as:

ARECON's experts are familiar with the complex requirements of communities, local authorities, and also of manufacturing industries, waste-collectors, sorters, recyclers and dealers with regard to all facets of waste prevention, waste reduction and waste management in real life.

ARECON thus has aggregated experience in handling economic and institutional actors as well as citizens in their role as consumers and inhabitants, and has succeeded in overcoming social and cultural barriers on an organisational, local, regional and national level.
